Forget About What Other People Should Change. Focus On You.
A trend was circulating proposing the question, what should women change? The
responses were beyond interesting, but the concept was bewildering. Why the
generalized focus on just women? Why was the distinction of varied women avoided?
White women problems differ from Hispanic women or black women. More
importantly, the original question can be geared towards any and everyone...not just
women. The question should be, what should PEOPLE change? Or better yet, what do I
need to change?
First individually and then collectively (depending on what you identify with) we should all analyzed the following questions:
What makes you human?
What makes you vulnerable, what are your weaknesses/strengths? What makes you relatable? What makes you different?
What are the thoughts that haunt you?
Which ideas/concepts are unable to escape you? What do you dream of often? How detailed are they? What are your fears and why?
The beauty of these questions are that they’re subjective. The answers will differ with
each and every one of use, as it should. Once we dive into the significance of our
answers is when change will start within us. If we focus on ourselves, the world will
inevitably and gradually become better and stronger...one soul, one mind, one force at
a time.
