Music Review: Blaq Tuxedo

Blaq Tuxedo, the soulful and hippy singing duo are brothers. If you’re not hip to this duo then you really are missing out. They eloquently provide all the necessary vibes. Below is a review of some of my favorite songs!

  • “Kiss and Tell” (Album: Limousine-2015)…Beautiful vocals that evoke the mentality behind sexuality amongst individuals that actually like each other. The beat is very smooth, not complex, yet hits all the right spots. This song expresses the thoughts that go into a soon to be relationship. The exact point between getting to know each other and posting about it on social media. They’re expressing their sincerity towards private intimacy. This song sets a great standard for the generation of today. People are quick to promote their relationship on social media. This song presents a sexy ultimatum…keep us private or we’re over.

  • “Cherish” (Album: Limousine-2015)……their excellent voices are just saying what every lady wants to hear over an avant-garde approach to jazzy hip-hop. The lyrics wrap around the reasons why a man would do anything for their lady. They’re delivering R&B feels over a bumpin’ beat. Great for the road trip mix, the ladies’ getting dressed mix, and any guy’s ‘baby, I’m sorry’ mix.

  • “Committed” (Album: DJ Carisma Presents: Tap In-2017)…your cute, lovey-dovey, ratchet fix. The beat is a hit or miss….you’ll either love it or it may aggravate you. The static-like echo can come off piercing and may annoy a listener. However, under an appropriate amount of influence from tequila or some brown then it’ll heighten your senses! Adding to the sensuality of the song. This track is more about the vibe versus the vocal capabilities (although there are a few panty-throwin worthy R&B runs). Very sexy…a good song for your foreplay mix.

  • “About it” (Album: DJ Carisma Presents: Tap In-2017)…great millennial empowering song. A great balance between ratchet vibes and semi thought-provoking lyrics. Ladies you will feel the urge to twerk. Both ladies and gents can relate to the concept that you should not simply talk about what you want but be about it.
