Renee Graziano Talks MTV's 'Mob Wives', Pressure From Society, and Loyalty

The bright eyed, sharp-tongued, New York native is quick to remind you that she is not new to the mob-lifestyle, but very much true to the lifestyle. She can be feisty at times but family, friends, and fans know that Renee Graziano is loving, passionate, and extremely loyal. She’s visited over 80 prisons and has written hundreds of letters, so her love and devotion to family and friends extends past what viewers see on MTV’s Mob Wives

Renee admits that it’s very clear on the last six seasons of Mob Wives that she doesn’t have peace of mind, but as she states, “what I do have is faith, faith that God will light the way for me”. When you can find comfort in your faith, there is nothing that can stop you.

“The best thing about Mob Wives is finding out who I really am. The worst thing is sharing too much of my heart and watching people judge me based on an one-hour series”. She giggles as she states, “if people spent ten minutes in my shoes they’d apologize for the things they said, put their own shoes back on, and run back to their lives!”

At the end of the day she hopes that fans of the show will understand that crime does not pay. We all have baggage, issues, and drama. However, it’s important to know when to slow down, stop, and work out your problems. “I think society pressures people to fit into some social circle. Kids need to grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in order to know where they will fit in, and it might take more time than they would like, but it’s better to wait than to rush. The best advice I ever received was to let go and let God. We have no control over what is going to happen daily so wake up with a smile and go with the flow”.

Renee’s son AJ is her pride and joy. It’s endearing to see their love manifest on the show. “My son is my hero and my source of strength for the last 21 years. Any time spent with him eases my heart.”

Renee has fears just like anyone else. At this point in her life, she shares that “the fear of not meeting the right person to grow old with seems to be the one that bothers me the most. It’s something that I know I need to let go, so the right person can come along. I’ve learned the hard way of pledging loyalty to the wrong person as we’ve seen on Mob Wives. Loyalty is something a person must earn and it shouldn’t be given freely.”

When she loves, she loves hard. As we all should, but invest that time and energy into the right person. If the cast of the show hasn’t shown us anything they’ve definitely proven that a friend (or lover) can turn into an enemy really quick!
